Due to the high risk of thunderstorms on July 4, city leaders and the Calvert Area Development Association have proactively postponed the Ameribration event to Friday, July 5. After extensive discussions, it was clear that prioritizing the safety of our volunteers, vendors, and residents is essential.

The Calvert City Museum, driven by local Calvert City residents, Bobbie Foust and Janice Devine, will be on display on July 4 only from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calvert City Civic Center. Walk through local history spanning over 150 years. It will NOT be open on July 5.

The Kids Parade is BACK! Let your child decorate their bike, scooter, and/or themself, and be a part of the Kids Parade after the Ameribration Parade at 7 PM at Calvert City Memorial Park Amphitheater! The Calvert City Masonic Lodge is organizing the kids parade and will serve free popsicles after the event.
AMERIBRATION PARADE AND FIREWORKS – POSTPONED TO JULY 5
Get your floats, golf carts, and classic cars ready for this long-standing tradition in Calvert City! There is no pre-registration! Line-up begins at 4:45 PM at Pathway Baptist Church. 5th Ave will be closed during the parade from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. The parade lineup will be organized by Calvert City Masonic Lodge #543. Prizes will be given to the best-decorated float, best-decorated golf cart, and best classic car. Follow the parade to Calvert Memorial Park for free watermelon provided by CADA and find your spot in Doctor’s Park for the best fireworks in western Kentucky beginning at dusk. The parade theme this year is “PARTY LIKE IT’S 1776!”

Calvert City’s AmeriBration kicks off festivities on June 24 ending with the parade and fireworks celebrating Independence Day on July 4. The City of Calvert City encourages the region to make plans to attend the many events organized by local businesses and Calvert Area Development Association (CADA).
“AmeriBration is a long-standing tradition in Calvert City. Memorial Park is full of golf carts from residents, and many from our region. CADA organizes this event which is made up of residents and local businesses. Events like this couldn’t happen without the generosity of our volunteers,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications, and business development for the City of Calvert City.
AMERIBRATION PAGEANT – June 24
The first event to kick off is the Ameribration Pageant on June 24. This year is the first year for registration to go only online. The deadline to register is June 21 and there is no registration at the door. All participants must register online by clicking the link below. The cost to register is $20 and $5 to be included in the Miss Photogenic contest. If you participate in the Miss Photogenic contest, please bring a photograph. The dress for the pageant is red, white, and blue summer attire. Register HERE.
FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY – JUNE 28
Weekly, every Friday in Calvert City Memorial Park, have lunch at your favorite food truck from 10:30 AM through 1:30 PM through July. The food truck lineups can be found on Calvert City’s Facebook page under the Food Truck Friday Events tab.
VETERANS BRUNCH – JUNE 29
Back again, organized by local business owner, Chelsy Solomon, it’s an event you don’t want to miss! The Veterans Brunch is on June 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lakeland Event Center on the corner of Hwy 95 and Hwy 62. Veterans eat free at the brunch and funds raised will be donated to the Hugs Project of Western Kentucky and A Soldier’s Heart, Bluegrass & Muddy Waters. Enjoy a full spread of food provided by local restaurant, 50’s Cafe. $15 for adults and $5 for children.

To kick off the start of AmeriBration is the WCCK Cornhole Tournament beginning at 10:00 AM. Registration is from 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM behind the amphitheater in Calvert City Memorial Park. It is $20 per team and the winning team will receive 50% of the earnings. Please bring your boards and bags and enjoy a friendly competition of a summer game staple. You can pre-register by calling or texting (270) 331-0243. Space is limited.
Local musicians have partnered together to have an afternoon of live music. The live music begins at 11:00 a.m. on the Memorial Park Amphitheater stage.

Food trucks, arts and crafts, and direct sale vendors will be open from 12 PM to Dusk.
