Calvert Area Development Association (CADA) invites the community to come together for the Calvert Cares Suicide Prevention Walk on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:00 PM in Calvert City Memorial Park (1072 5th Ave, Calvert City, Kentucky). This heartfelt event serves as a citywide acknowledgment that we support, we remember, and we care for those impacted by suicide.

With suicide ranking as the second leading cause of death in Marshall County, and among the leading causes of death nationwide, awareness and community support have never been more crucial. Suicide is preventable, and together, we can make a difference.

This .25-mile walk through Memorial Park will include moments of reflection, storytelling, and remembrance, allowing participants to mourn those they have lost, while also supporting survivors and those struggling with mental health challenges. The walk is more than just a symbolic journey—it is a public expression of compassion, connection, and community healing.

“Supporting the families in our community who have experienced loss due to suicide is one of the most important things we can do.Through the Calvert Cares walk, we send a powerful message: You are not alone, tomorrow needs you,” said Brittany Story, President of the Calvert Area Development Association.

Let’s take this step together. On September 16 at 7:00 PM, join us in Calvert City Memorial Park and help raise awareness, offer support, and build a stronger, more compassionate community.

Tomorrow needs you.
