Calvert City is pleased to announce the winners of the annual Holiday Yard of the Season awards, recognizing residents and businesses who helped brighten the community with outstanding seasonal displays.
This year, awards were presented in three categories. Best Traditional Decorations, Best Nontraditional Decorations, and Best Business Decorations. Each category also included a runner-up award.
Mayor Gene praised the participants for their creativity and community spirit. Gift certificates to Holly Nursery were provided to the winners, donated by Calvert Area Development Association.
“Our Holiday Yard of the Season program is one of my favorite traditions because it brings neighbors together and showcases the pride people take in Calvert City,” Colburn said. “Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who decorated and made our city feel extra welcoming this season.”
The City encourages residents to get out and drive through to see the lights throughout the city. We have folks who go above and beyond!

The Holiday Yard of the Season program is a yearly celebration of holiday cheer throughout Calvert City. Residents are encouraged to continue enjoying these displays through the remainder of the season and to look forward to next year’s contest.
