Get ready for a day of creativity, innovation, and fun at Kids Art in the Park! Hosted by the City of Calvert City and the Calvert Area Development Association, this free, half-day event will take place at Calvert City Memorial Park on Friday, June 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Designed to spark creativity in young minds, Kids Art in the Park offers an immersive experience in the fine arts with hands-on workshops, a Kids’ Business Fair, live youth performances, and much more.
“Kids Art in the Park is all about inspiring the next generation to think creatively and dream big,” said Blair Travis, Director of Marketing and Business Development for the City of Calvert City. “We’re excited to create a space where children can express themselves, explore their talents, and even take their first steps into entrepreneurship.”
Event Highlights Include:

Kids Business Fair: Support young entrepreneurs as kids (ages 17 and under) sell a variety of handmade products and services, from face painting and jewelry to bath bombs and original artwork. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash to shop and support over 30 young business owners.

Live Youth Performances: Calling all talented kids! Performers (ages 17 and under) are invited to showcase their skills — from singing and poetry reading to telling jokes, ventriloquism, and beyond.

Arts & Crafts Workshops: Children will rotate through five hands-on workshops led by community leaders, exploring various artistic mediums and participating in community art projects.
