Calvert City invites the community to kick off the holiday season with two creative workshops designed to bring a touch of handmade charm to your celebrations — the Old-Time Christmas Candy Making Workshop and the Holiday Candle Painting Class.
The Old-Time Christmas Candy Making Workshop will feature local blogger and cook, Jennifer Sikora from Redhead Bakery, who will guide participants through the art of traditional candy making. From classic hard candies to sweet treats perfect for gifting, attendees will learn timeless techniques that fill homes with the smells and flavors of the season.
“I’m thrilled to share the joy of old-fashioned candy making with my community,” said Sikora. “There’s something special about creating sweet memories together, just like generations before us.”
The Holiday Candle Painting Class offers a hands-on opportunity for creativity and holiday cheer. Each participant will paint up to five taper candles to take home or gift to loved ones. Attendees are encouraged to wear old clothes, as paint and materials may stain. This class is open to ages 10 and older, and all supplies are included.
Both workshops promise a fun, festive experience for families and friends to enjoy. Space is limited, and advance registration with full payment is required. No refunds will be issued after registration unless the organizer cancels the event.
Celebrate the season the old-fashioned way with laughter, learning, and a little local creativity. Registration information below!
