Calvert City offers Yard Waste and Household Bulk Collection services to help keep our community clean and safe. In an effort to alleviate confusion, we’ve created a list of information to allow us to work together to keep Calvert City looking its best! Here’s what you need to know!
Placement:
All items must be placed along the street, no more than 5 feet from the edge, and NOT in the road for pickup. Yard Waste Collection and Household Bulk Collection cannot be mixed together. Please keep piles separated, or it will result in not being picked up.
Yard Waste Collection Includes:
- Basic limbs and leaves
- Tree sections the homeowner cuts down themselves (must be cut into 3-ft sections)
Yard Waste Collection Does NOT Include:
- Entire trees removed by contractors (they must haul away debris)
- Large tree stumps or oversized logs
- Construction debris
Household Bulk Collection Includes:
- Furniture (couches, tables, chairs)
- Appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers – remove doors for safety)
- Mattresses and box springs
- Fencing, Wire fencing: must be bundled and secured. Wood fencing: must be cut into manageable pieces
Household Bulk Waste Does NOT Include:
- Hazardous waste
- Construction materials
- Loose debris or bagged household trash
