It’s seemed like this day would never come. It’s been a little while waiting for the first pickleball tournament of the year to get here. Practicing outside through the winter is challenging but our players are tough. This year more of our players are entering tournaments for the first time and some stepping up to the next level competition. Western KY players went to The Hub Recreational Center in Marion Illinois to participate in the Winter Paddle Battle on January 15 & 16, 2022. With 112 entries over two days 14 local players competed in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles from 3.0 – 5.0 levels. Players brought home 8 medals, 4 Gold and 4 Silver medals.
