The Calvert City Police Department recognized Sgt. William Keith Suits and Officers Dylan Bobo and Zane White with Life Saving Awards during the July meeting of the Calvert City Council.

The officers were honored for their actions during two separate medical emergencies in May and June. In both situations, they responded quickly, worked alongside local emergency personnel, and provided critical care that helped save lives.

“These officers demonstrated courage, sound judgment and compassion when members of our community needed them most,” Mayor Gene Colburn said. “It is important that we pause and recognize individuals who go above and beyond in service to Calvert City. We are extremely proud of Sergeant Suits, Officer Bobo and Officer White.”

Calvert City Police Chief Mike Canon presented the awards and commended the officers for their professionalism, teamwork and lifesaving skills.

“Our officers are trained to respond to many different situations, but it is their ability to remain calm and act decisively that can make all the difference,” Canon said. “Recognizing a job well done is important, especially when those actions have such a meaningful impact. These officers represented the Calvert City Police Department and our community exceptionally well.”

The City of Calvert City congratulates Sgt. Suits, Officer Bobo and Officer White and thanks them for their dedication and service to the community.
