CALVERT CITY CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
The Calvert City Christmas Bazaar is a fundraiser for the Calvert/Sharpe Family Resource Center and is organized by Lakeland Event Center director, Chelsy Solomon and the Calvert Area Development Association (CADA). In the last five years, this event has grown from nearly 100 vendors to nearly 200 vendors. The event begins on December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations: Altona Baptist Church – Go Center, Calvert City Civic Center, Calvert City First Baptist Church, Lakeland Event Center, and the former Family Dollar Building. SANTA’S WORKSHOP
Santa’s Workshop is held at the Calvert City United Methodist Church. Choose from multiple do-it-yourself activities like candle pouring, live wreath making, pillowcases, rug making, and more. Pre-registration is required for most of the stations. December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CALVERT CITY LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS PARADE
This is the 64th year for the parade and Calvert City has the honor and distinction of having the longest, continuous-running Christmas parade in Western Kentucky. Once again, this year’s parade will be at night and the theme is “It’s all about CHRISTMAS!”
Businesses, churches, and organizations are encouraged to enter a float in the parade. The parade entries are requested to assemble at Pathway Baptist Church at 4:45 pm. Please register your float by clicking HERE! Floats will be judged at 5:30 p.m. with the parade kicking off at 6:00 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded and new this year will be the People’s Choice award! Float entries other than the Lions Club’s float may not include Santa Claus.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and KY 95 and then proceed along Fifth Avenue to the Calvert City Civic Center where Santa will meet with the children and the Calvert City Lions will provide free hotdogs and drinks to all participants.

CALVERT CITY’S TREE LIGHTING
The Calvert City Tree Lighting is a site to see! The tree is HUGE and located in Calvert City’s Memorial Park. This event is free and open to the public from 7 – 8 p.m. There will be a 30ft igloo, live Christmas music by Cody Campbell and Friends, free Hot Chocolate provided by Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative, and SO much more! The tree lighting will be at 7:30 PM and as soon as we light the tree the LARGEST fake snowball fight in Kentucky is ON!!!
