Light up Calvert City
December 5 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Calvert City Memorial Park transforms into a winter wonderland as families gather for one of the city’s most beloved traditions, Light Up Calvert City. Organized each year by the Calvert Area Development Association (CADA), this event kicks off the holiday weekend with laughter, music, and lights that sparkle across the city.
Visitors can sip on free hot chocolate from Railside Coffee, enjoy hot dogs and kettle corn from food truck favorite Ipop Kettle Corn, and delight in live music, inflatables, carnival games, cookie decorating, and photos with Santa — and his pet kangaroo! The community tree will be lit at 6:00 PM, marking the official start of the holiday season.

66th Calvert City Lions Club Christmas PArade
As evening falls on December 6, gather along 5th Avenue for the Calvert City Lions Club Christmas Parade, beginning at 6:00 PM. Now in its 66th year, this cherished event holds the honor of being the longest-running Christmas parade in Kentucky. Floats, bands, and community groups will fill the streets with color, music, and holiday cheer, culminating with Santa Claus himself waving to the crowd.
After the parade, follow Santa to the Calvert City Civic Center, where families can take photos with Santa and enjoy free hot dogs and drinks, courtesy of the Calvert City Lions Club.

Calvert City Christmas Bazaar
The festivities continue on Saturday, December 6, with the Calvert City Christmas Bazaar from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Shoppers can drive to four different locations around the city to browse more than 140 vendors offering handmade and artisan crafts, baked goods, and holiday decor.
Visitors travel from several states to shop local and experience this long-standing holiday tradition. Locations include Calvert City Civic Center, Lakeland Event Center, Altona Baptist Church, and Calvert City First Baptist Church. All within a few minutes’ drive. There are no booths available for this event.

Holiday Yard of the Season
The Holiday Yard of the Season Judging begins at 6:30 PM on December 5. City judges will make their way through neighborhoods, taking in the most festive and creative holiday displays.
Residents are encouraged to decorate their homes and spread the joy — you never know who might take home the title of Calvert City’s Holiday Yard of the Season! Register your yard by clicking HERE!
