Calvert Citywide Yard Sale is rescheduled for September 4-6. Applications will be accepted until August 29 to be included in the city map.
“Participants are encouraged to set up items for sale outside of their homes and businesses. This is a chance to get outside and do a little shopping in Calvert City,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications, and business development for the City of Calvert City.
A detailed map of the yard sale locations will be available on Calvert City’s Facebook page, calvertcityky.gov, and at Calvert City Hall on September 3. “This is a great time to clean out and refresh your home. Anything remaining can be brought to the Fall City Clean Up Day on September 21,” followed Travis.

Event Details
Please be advised that the Calvert City Lions Club and the city of Calvert City are sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Calvert City Civic Center located at 991 5th Avenue in Calvert City.
The drive will begin at noon and continue until 6:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to donate blood at this time.
- We greatly appreciate the generosity of the public to help stock hospital shelves for patients in need. Blood donation is essential to ensuring the health of our communities. The need for blood is constant, and volunteer donors are the only source of blood for those in need.
- Every day patients rely on lifesaving blood transfusions including those who need surgery, victims of car accidents and other emergencies, or patients suffering from cancer.
- Right now, people are following public health guidance to keep their families safe—and that includes contributing to a readily available supply of blood for hospitals.
- There is no evidence and there are no reported cases of the coronavirus—or any respiratory virus—being transmitted by a blood transfusion.
- This is the time to take care of one another. If you are healthy and feeling well, please make an appointment now to donate in the days and weeks ahead by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
