The City of Calvert City will transition to a new online payment portal and billing system on May 26, providing customers with a more modern, secure, and user-friendly payment experience.

The final billing processed through the current online payment system will take place on May 15. Beginning May 19 through May 25, the city will undergo a transition period as utility accounts and payment services move from the old system to the new platform.

During this transition period, customers will not be able to make credit card payments. City officials ask for patience and understanding as staff work to complete the conversion process and launch the upgraded system. (Don’t worry, we will take cash and checks during this time)

As part of the transition, customers currently enrolled in autopay using a debit or credit card will need to re-enroll through the new online payment system once it becomes available on May 26.

Customers enrolled in automatic bank draft payments directly from their checking or savings account do not need to take any action. Those bank draft payments will continue uninterrupted during the transition.

The updated platform is designed to improve convenience and streamline online account management for utility customers.

“To ensure uninterrupted autopay service, customers using debit or credit card autopay will need to complete a quick re-enrollment process in the new portal,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications, and business development for Calvert City. “Customers enrolled in automatic bank draft payments will not be affected. We are committed to making the transition as simple and seamless as possible, and we kindly ask for patience and support during this transition period as our staff learns to navigate the new system.”

Customers re-enrolling in Autopay will need their service address and payment method information to complete the process. Additional instructions and updates will be shared before the launch date. The city also encourages customers to verify that their contact information is up to date to ensure they receive important notifications regarding the transition.

Please note the following important dates:

• May 15 — Final billing through the current online payment system
• May 19-25 — Transition period between systems (No credit card payments will be accepted, cash/check only)
• May 26 — New online payment portal goes live

Beginning May 26, customers may visit calvertcityky.gov/pay-online/ to make payments and access the new system.
