Calvert City, KY (August 31, 2022) – Calvert City is hosting Pink Night in the Park: Our Community Contributing to a Cure on October 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the ceremony beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Memorial Park.
“On October 14, wear pink to Memorial Park to serve as a reminder of those lives that have been touched by breast cancer. However you have been touched, we want to take the month of October to remember and remind ourselves to be proactive in health screenings and mammograms.,” said Travis director of marketing, communications, and business development for Calvert City. This event is to remember and celebrate those touched by breast cancer. Funds from this event will be donated to Kentucky Cancer Link. “That means your donation will directly impact a local person in need.
If you are a survivor or currently being treated for breast cancer, please join us on October 14 at 6:00 p.m. for a ceremony of remembrance and celebration in Memorial Park.
Calvert Area Development Association (CADA) is now accepting event sponsors and silent auction items.
Signs for “In Memory” and “In Honor” are on sale for $5. Forms are available at the link below. Please have all forms submitted by September 23. Forms can be mailed or dropped off at Calvert City Hall, P.O. Box 36, Calvert City, KY 42029. Checks should be made to CADA.
Shirts are also available for purchase. The long-sleeve t-shirts are $30 and the short-sleeve t-shirts are $25. The form to order is linked below. Please have all -shirt forms submitted by September 23. Forms can be mailed to Calvert City Hall at P.O. Box 36, Calvert City, KY 42029.
100% of the proceeds from the event will go towards Kentucky Cancer Link. Kentucky Cancer Link funds many Kentuckians struggling with cancer. whether it be a wig, a cancer screening, or another need during a cancer diagnosis, they are here to help.
