The City of Calvert City is seeking qualified applicants for the position of deputy finance clerk.
The deputy finance clerk will assist the city clerk/finance officer in preparing and maintaining official city records, including financial records, payroll, accounts payable, billing, filings, reports, and meeting minutes, while performing other related duties as required.
Applicants must possess either a bachelor’s degree in accounting, an associate degree in accounting with at least two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, or five years of governmental bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and have experience working with PC-based accounting programs. Applicants should also demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work well with the public and fellow employees. Occasional travel for training and work-related purposes may be required.
