The City of Calvert City invites families from across the region to unleash their creativity at the annual Kids Art in the Park event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Calvert City Memorial Park.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates youth art through hands-on activities, live entertainment, and opportunities for young entrepreneurs to showcase their talents. Community artists, volunteers, and local partners will join together to create an inspiring environment where children of all ages can explore their creativity.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their “not-so-good” clothes and prepare for a morning filled with artistic fun.
One of the event’s highlights is the Kids Business Fair, where entrepreneurs ages 17 and younger can launch their own businesses and gain valuable real-world experience. Participants may sell products and services such as artwork, jewelry, bath bombs, baked goods, lemonade, face painting, and more. To register for the Kids Business Fair, click HERE!
“Events like the Kids Business Fair give young people the opportunity to learn valuable life skills, including customer service, responsibility, and how a business operates,” Mayor Gene Colburn said. “It’s exciting to see our youth develop confidence by creating something of their own and interacting with customers. It’s also wonderful to hear so many talented young performers take the stage and share their gifts with the community.”
Throughout the day, local youth performers will provide live entertainment on the Memorial Park Amphitheater stage. Anyone 18 and younger is welcome to perform! To register as a performer, click HERE!
Additional activities will include five arts and crafts stations designed to spark creativity and encourage hands-on learning. Food options will be available throughout the event, including baked goods and lemonade sold by local youth, as well as a favorite local food truck, to be announced.
Kids Art in the Park is made possible through the support of community sponsors, including the Calvert Area Development Association, 50’s Cafe, State Farm Agent Hilary Washer, Lake Chem Federal Credit Union, and the Marshall County Public Library.
