On December 11, Calvert City Mayor, Gene Colburn, announced the winners of the 2023 Holiday Decorations Contest at the city council meeting. 17 homes and businesses participated.
Participation was open to all residents and businesses within the boundaries of Calvert City city limits.
Entry applications closed on December 8 at 4 p.m. and were judged that evening. The contest is based on exterior decorations, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging criteria included (a) Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; (b) Storyline or theme; (c) Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc.; and (d) Overall presentation.
