Calvert City, KY – (July 18, 2022) – The KY Dam Paddle up is a family-friendly paddle event in partnership with the City of Calvert City, Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Tennessee RiverLine! Registration begins August 1 and there are 40 spots available.
Save the date on October 8 for a paddle on the Tennessee River! Bring a kayak, canoe, or any other worthy paddle craft for a trip from KY Dam Boat Ramp to Haddox Ferry.
Beginning at 7:00 AM, drop your kayaks off at KY Dam Boat Ramp just below Kentucky Dam and take your vehicle to Haddox Ferry. A shuttle service provided by Pathway Baptist Church will shuttle you from Haddox Ferry back to your kayak at KY Dam Boat Ramp for a leisurely group paddle five miles downriver to Haddox Ferry. Expect to be on the water for two hours. Lunch will be provided to all pre-registered paddlers and pre-registration includes a free t-shirt.
For those who do not own a kayak but want to participate, 12 kayaks are available to reserve. The deadline to register is September 23. Bring your own, or use one of the rentals for this fun-filled event on the river.
Marshall County Rescue Squad will be on-site floating alongside the group. All paddlers are required to wear a life jacket and know how to swim. A brief safety course will be held prior to the launch of the group.

Paddle Day Take-off: 8:15 AM
Door Prize Drawing: Upon groups arrival, must be present to win
Lunch: 10:30 AM -12:00 PM
