GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assist City Clerk/Finance Officer in preparing and maintaining official records of the City which includes but is not limited to financial, payroll, accounts payable, billing, filings, reports, meeting minutes, and perform other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, associate degree in accounting with at least two (2) years’ work experience in bookkeeping/accounting or five (5) years’ work experience in governmental bookkeeping/accounting.

 

Abilities:

Applicant’s computer skills must consist of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Applicants must be able to work with PC-based accounting programs and be knowledgeable of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Applicants must be positive, self-motivated, and able to work well with others.  Applicants must be able to communicate well and deal courteously with the public and co-workers. Applicants must be willing and able to travel occasionally for work and training when needed.  Applicants must be able to be bonded.
