Calvert City, KY – October 11, 2019 – Kim Robinson manager of Snap Fitness Benton/Calvert City didn’t anticipate bringing home two awards from the 2019 Snap Fitness International Convention. The gym was nominated in three categories and brought home winning awards in two of the three. The conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota this week.
Snap Fitness Calvert City won the categories of “Culture” and “Manager of the Year” as well as receiving a nomination for “Franchisee of the Year.”
“The centerpiece of our community work is based on our inclusive exercise classes. They occur a few times per week with the Marshall County Special Olympics and the Marshall County Exceptional Center. I volunteer with the National Inclusion Project to stay up to date on training, conferences and best practices,” said Robinson. Other events they’ve participated in include: sponsoring a family during Christmas, serving and selling snow-cones with proceeds going to the Calvert Sharpe Family Resource Center, Goat Yoga and volunteering at the humane society, just to name a few. The Culture Award nominees were selected by those that demonstrate everything Snap Fitness believes: hard work, ingenuity, and passion for helping others live healthier lives.
Those nominated for Manager of the Year showed leadership that inspired others within their gym and community and created a welcoming environment for members to excel. Those that know Kim Robinson, know she meets and exceeds all of those expectations.
Nominees for the Franchisee Award showed activity in community clubs and events, positive brand support and complied with brand direction with positive club growth. “Dennis Smith is an active community leader and successful business owner in Calvert City. This is a well-deserved nomination and Calvert City couldn’t be prouder,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications and business development for Calvert City.
