The Good Wu: Healing and Arts Festival is set for October 14 and 15 at the Calvert City Civic Center. Organized by A Centered Space and co-sponsored by the City of Calvert City, The Good Wu is a time to support your wellness journey, find inspiration, and shop for high-quality goods and services in a supportive community atmosphere.

In 2019, event organizer Delasaria Lihon, owner of A Centered Space and a licensed psychotherapist, wanted to introduce safe ways of exploring holistic wellness. It started as “Healing Saturday” at the A Centered Space original location in Benton, KY with three therapists offering a variety of modalities to experience. Since 2019, “It has blossomed into a large-scale event highlighting local small businesses and talents in the region, now with over 70 vendors and healers,” said Lihon.

The Good Wu is a free indoor and outdoor two-day event with regular musical performances, workshops, demonstrations, food, and more. “It’s a welcoming, learning environment safe to explore new things, ideas, and connections. We love all that good ‘wuu wuu’ stuff,” Lihon said with a smile.

Festivalgoers can feast their eyes upon paintings, art, handcrafted jewelry, artisanal products, holistic health services, as well as a variety of other intuitive arts and family resources.

“The Good Wu is a festival favorite among many for fall events in Calvert City,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications, and business development for the City of Calvert City. “From unique crafts and handmade goods, this marketplace is a treasure trove of local talent and creativity and we are thankful A Centered Space chose the Calvert City Civic Center to host this event.”

This festival is free and open to the public. “You’ll find all the highest quality goods and services to support your wellness journey, along with fun, inspiration, and delicious goodies in a supportive community,” said Lihon. There is something for everyone in an inclusive environment. Kids can enjoy crafts and even a reptile petting zoo will be on site.

The Good Wu: Healing and Arts Festival is set for October 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and October 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Calvert City Civic Center located at 991 5th Ave, Calvert City, KY.
