Every 10 years, as mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the federal government undertakes a census of the U.S. population to determine the allocation of seats held by each state in the House of Representatives. The next federal census will begin on March 12. We need your help!
In addition to determining federal representation, the census is used to distribute federal funding to states and local governments. This includes funding for school programs and lunches, roads, parks and grant opportunities. By participating you can help make a positive change in our jobs, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure. The future of Calvert City is counting on your cooperation.
You can respond to the Census online, by phone or by mail. It’s easy, safe, and important. Make sure you and everyone you know are counted. Calvert City has set a goal to have all citizens complete the Census by April 1. A few minutes will pay off for the next 10 years. Visit 2020CENSUS.GOV on March 12 and help Calvert City reach its goal!
