The City of Calvert City is encouraging residents to play an integral role in developing a new community-wide strategic plan by completing a community survey before the deadline of July 10.
Calvert City’s Strategic Plan is a formal document adopted by the City Council, boards, and commissions that translates vision and goals into an actionable strategy that guides the city’s focus, work, and resource alignment. Strategic plans are normally updated every five years, the last update taking place in 2014.
The Plan’s overarching key focus areas and underlying objectives, initiatives, and performance measures allow the City to be transparent about their goals, focused on their efforts, and accountable for their results. Those focus areas are:
- Quality of Life
- Transportation and Mobility
- Environmental, Natural, and Recreational Resources
- Housing
- Economic Development
- Community Facilities
- Land Use
“We need the community’s feedback to reflect the community’s needs to develop a successful strategic plan,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications and business development.
Participants of the survey will be asked to complete the online survey by July 10. The estimated time to complete the survey is 20-25 minutes. Paper copies are available at Calvert City Hall, 861 E 5th Avenue, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
